The only real tool needed for this task is your classes black record keeping book, and a good ability to listen to your peers as they shareb their data with you.
You record what you can at the site, and then gradually continue recorded as more results are calculated in the classroom.
Obviously it is important to keep records of data so we can actually accurately determine the health of the water in the lake/pond/river/bog/marsh/etc. We can also use earlier records to keep track of how the water's health has improved/decreased over time, and what that might say about what is going on in the water.
Typical results..... a page full of information about the body of water. :)
